SACRAMENTO FIELD TRIP UPDATE

12:30 PM - Over the weekend, WorldStrides contracted with two new charter bus carriers - different from Royal Coach Tours, who canceled last-minute last week. Essentially, we still have two separate trips that are now both scheduled for this Friday, May 21. The original drop-off and pick-up times, itinerary (with minor changes to accommodate the increased number of students traveling) and chaperone list still stand. Drop-off at Silver Oak is still 6:30 AM and pick-up after the trip is scheduled from 9:00-9:30 PM.

Discounted rate for rescheduled MAY 14 travelers - WorldStrides has begun to process a 25% refund to all travelers - students and chaperones - who were rescheduled last-minute and missed the original May 14 field trip date. This applies to students and chaperones traveling with Mr. Stull's, Ms. Ellenberger's and Mrs. Fong's classes only.

Refunds - WorldStrides will provide a full refund to any chaperone or student who needs to cancel due to the new schedule. This applies to students and chaperones traveling with Mr. Stull's, Ms. Ellenberger's and Mrs. Fong's classes only.

Discounted "substitute" chaperone registration rate - WorldStrides is providing a 50% discount for any chaperone that registers for the new May 21 date, who is filling in for another chaperone who needed to cancel due to the last-minute postponement on May 14. This discount does not apply to new registrants registering in an additional spot as a chaperone. "Substitute" chaperones need to coordinate with canceling chaperones, and need to register with WorldStrides and indicate who they are substituting for. Any new chaperone registrants not filling in for a cancellation will recieve the new 25% discounted rate. This applies to students and chaperones traveling with Mr. Stull's, Ms. Ellenberger's and Mrs. Fong's classes only.

SACRAMENTO FIELD TRIP UPDATE

1:00 PM - WorldStrides, the tour company we have been working successfully with for the past 6-7 years, is in the process of rescheduling our Sacramento/Gold Rush field trip originally scheduled for today, Friday, May 14, 2010. Currently, we are working with another tour bus company - not Royal Coach Tours, who canceled with less than 12 hours before our scheduled pickup time. Once a specific travel date has been set, we will be sure to post it here, and follow up with instructions next week on any matters related to the trip. Any chaperones that need to drop out for whatever new date we reserve can contact WorldStrides for a full and complete refund.

As it sits now, our trip is not canceled, and never was considered canceled. I have forwarded all parent emails to WorldStrides and will continue to do so when the come in.
